cyclists fear
and loathe
before super-
charging
hell-bent
up Haygate Road,
a 30
miles per
hour zone,
like an Apollo
rocket launching
into space.
Unfortunately,
unlike me,
the smug
bastard
behind
the wheel
failed to see
that a manhole
cover had become displaced.
Not a problem for those on a bike,
more a reminder that karma is ever
waiting in the wings to strike.
